Dear Friends,

I hope this message finds you well. I’m writing to share something that has deeply inspired me—Our, Torunes Coffee Farm and Bee oasis located in Palmares, Costa Rica. Our families incredible farm for generations has produced exceptional coffee and after personally experiencing illness brought on by the use of pesticides we began migrating the coffee production to be organic. And now we are creating a sanctuary for Melipona stingerless bees, a project that resonates deeply with my love for sustainable agriculture and nature.

Torunes Farm has a rich history of nurturing the land, growing organic coffee avoiding the use of synthetic chemicals, and protecting the ecosystem. What excites me most is our vision to support Melipona bees, native pollinators vital to biodiversity. These gentle, stingerless bees are master pollinators for the tropical plants and produce a unique, honey prized for its medicinal properties.

Sadly, Melipona bees are under threat due to habitat loss and pesticides. Torunes Farm’s is creating a safe haven for them, not only to preserve this species while enhancing our organic coffee production through their pollination, creating a beautiful cycle of mutual benefit.

I’ve always believed bees are unsung heroes, essential to our ecosystems and food systems. Torunes Farm’s work gives me hope for the future, showing how we can thrive in harmony with nature.

If you’re as inspired as I am, I encourage you to learn more about Torunes Farm and consider supporting our mission. I’d love to hear your thoughts and explore how we can contribute together.

Thank you for reading. Let’s celebrate and support those working to create a more sustainable world.

Warm regards,

Jaime Luis Esquivel
